Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools

Telling Impactful Stories Through Video

The Project

Inspire’s ongoing work with the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools includes helping increase its reach and engagement among parents and community members by driving their brand story – to be a school community “Where Students Come First.”

To best tell the stories of the district, Inspire worked collaboratively with district leaders to develop a comprehensive plan to enhance communications, which included the development of videos to share across the district’s communication channels.

Inspire works with the district to develop an editorial calendar for stories and develops impactful videos to share updates with the school community on district events, construction projects and Inspire’s in-house video production team works with the district to identify visual story opportunities, gather footage and interviews and edit the content into brief videos that are posted to social media and distributed through the monthly newsletter.

The Results

Several videos have been produced over the last few years to support the school district’s goals. Inspire has worked collaboratively with the district to build its video program and has even inspired the district to add to the video library by creating its own content.

Not only have the videos been widely viewed by parents, students and beyond, they have increased engagement on social media and helped build a buzz around the good work the district is doing to support students and set them up for success.

One of the most impactful videos was on a program called Guys with Ties, which generated more than 10,000 views, 276 likes, 39 comments and 104 shares. A few minutes after the video was posted, an anchor from ABC6 in Columbus called the district to do a story on the program.
