Amplifying a Brand’s Story

The Project

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Piada Italian Street Food strived to raise awareness about their brand with consumers while also positioning themselves as a thought leader within the restaurant industry. With 38 locations throughout Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Texas, the premium fast-casual concept wanted to let stakeholders know they were not only open during the COVID-19 pandemic, but were creative and forward thinking.

Inspire worked with Piada to increase brand visibility and promote the brand’s innovative tactics deployed during the pandemic by implementing a comprehensive media relations and influencer engagement strategy. Some of the new Piada initiatives Inspire promoted included introducing new menu items, testing a drive-thru pilot program, announcing aggressive growth plans, introducing a new consumer friendly app, launching a new non-profit and providing financial relief to Texas employees during a natural disaster.

The Results

  • Piada received media coverage in restaurant trade and national publications including USA Today, Business Insider, NPR Marketplace, Fast Casual, Nation’s Restaurant News, QSR and Restaurant Business Magazine.
  • Additional regional coverage included mentions in outlets including Columbus Dispatch, The Plain Dealer, Pittsburgh Business Times, Spectrum News, Good Day Columbus and WFAA Dallas.
  • Overall, media coverage resulted in over 100 placements, resulting in more than 150 million impressions.
