Versova Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Report
The Project
Versova is a family-owned company is among the largest egg producers in the United States that brings together farms across seven states. As one of the nation’s largest egg producers, Versova sought to publicly report its sustainability efforts by developing a comprehensive corporate responsibility and sustainability report.
To most effectively tell Versova’s sustainability story, Inspire worked alongside Versova to develop the 2023 Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Report. The first step in creating the report was understanding the content and key messages, then collaborating with skilled graphic designers to conceptualize how visual elements of the report would align with the narrative and illustrate key messages.
To develop the content for the report, Inspire interviewed the company’s employees for each section, highlighting the human aspect of the business and tying in relevant examples of how team members play an active role in sustainability efforts. The report also featured case studies of Versova’s pilot programs and initiatives related to sustainability, which are being implemented system wide.
Once Inspire’s designer understood the overall messaging and goals of the piece, she created a color palette and typography set in line with Versova’s brand standards, then laid out three pages for initial client feedback, which was incorporated into the design moving forward.
Versova's sustainability report has been written to inform and engage a diverse range of stakeholders, including its employees, current and future customers, company vendors, board members and the industry. Through this report, Versova provides a transparent look into all aspects of its business, demonstrating efforts to care for team members, protect hen health and well-being and ensure environmental responsibility.
