The Project
Inspire worked with the American Dairy Association Mideast, which represents dairy farmers in Ohio and West Virginia, to help support Ohio’s cheesemakers to sell their Ohio-made cheese products online during the winter holiday season.
ADA Mideast first launched its online shopping platform, ShopOhioCheese.com, during the 2020 holiday season to help Ohio’s cheesemakers boost sales during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the help of digital and social ads, coordinated by Inspire, the Ohio cheesemakers saw increased sales.
What started as a 2020 initiative to help promote cheese sales for the holiday season is now an annual campaign to promote Ohio cheese as holiday gifts. ShopOhioCheese.com is a convenient online site that lists a variety of Ohio cheesemakers. Inspire oversees digital advertising efforts, driving traffic to the site through paid digital ads, social media promotion and Google advertising. Additionally, Inspire has led media and influencer outreach to further support the campaign
The Results
• In 2022, digital and social advertising for the Shop Ohio Cheese campaign generated nearly 6.1 million impressions
• Advertising included display ads, email banner ads, native posts/stories on social, Instagram reels, printed gift guides and targeted emails
• Campaign emails had an open rate of over 41.7%
