Eat Like An Elf Contest Influencer Campaign

The Project

Inspired by the holiday season’s favorite Elf, Buddy, Piada Italian Street Food hosted Columbus' first Elf-themed spaghetti eating contest at Piada’s Easton Town Center location. Five hungry contestants raced to finish five pounds of pasta drenched in ingredients including maple syrup, chocolate syrup, M&Ms, marshmallows, rainbow sprinkles and topped with a chocolate fudge Pop Tart. Inspire was tasked with creating buzz around the contest by engaging local influencers, media and community partners, as well as promoting overall awareness of the restaurant among the community.

Inspire developed and executed an influencer marketing campaign that was focused on creating excitement for the contest. Inspire played a key role in identification and coordination with prominent central Ohio influencers to attend the Eat Like an Elf Contest, in addition to granting influencers access to preview the holiday-decorated restaurant. They tasted menu items prior to the event for unique content creation, which provided additional social media content and imagery to help elevate the message on influencers’ platforms.

The Eat Like an Elf influencer marketing campaign was carefully tailored to be authentic and was intended to create excitement for the spaghetti-eating contest and promote overall awareness of Piada’s Easton location.

The Results

  • 11 central Ohio influencers shared content across a variety of social media platforms to promote Piada’s contest
  • Social media outreach from influencers had reached a combined audience of 4.17 million and had 55.1K+ impressions
  • Content shared by the bloggers received 1.84K+ engagements
