Marissa Mullen is the creative services associate at Inspire and specializes in all things graphic design, including web design, branding, print and social media.
Before joining Inspire, she worked as the creative marketing specialist at a local marketing firm, Remember Marketing. She also served as a marketing assistant in the Columbus College of Art & Design’s (CCAD) marketing and communications department and as a graphic designer in CCAD’s in-house student agency. In these positions, she gained extensive experience working with a variety of people from different backgrounds.
Working in the agency setting has allowed Marissa to grow her expertise to cover social media marketing, content development and graphic design, making her a wonderful addition to the Inspire team.
Over the past few years, Marissa has participated largely with the Columbus Society of Communicating Arts as well as the American Advertising Federation. In 2015, as just a sophomore, she received two American Advertising Awards – a Silver student at the local level and a Gold student at the regional level – for a magazine advertisement she developed for the National Eating Disorder Association. She has worked creatively with numerous Columbus anti-human trafficking organizations, such as Changing Actions to Change Habits (CATCH) Court and She Has A Name, which she says further developed her passion for design in the non-profit sector.
Marissa grew up in the tiny village of Alexandria, Ohio surrounded by farms and cornfields. While she always appreciates her small-town roots, Columbus is where her heart remains. She graduated from CCAD in 2018 with her bachelor’s degree in advertising and graphic design. On the other side of the office doors, Marissa enjoys reading and writing poetry, searching for the best tacos in Columbus and hanging out at the local dog park with her two pups!
